Whitelisting Powered Antivirus Protection

Conventional security software relies on a database of blacklisted programs with updates struggling to keep up with the fast rise in new viruses. FlashDefender takes a new approach, combining a database of both “good” (whitelisted) and “bad” (blacklisted) programs along with feedback from the Advisor Community. AES Encryption

FlashDefender not only provides standalone Antivirus protection, it also provides high level, easy to use, drag and drop encryption designed for ease of use. FlashDefender uses AES 256bit encryption allowing you to encrypt data on your portable device and the PC in which the FlashDefender device is installed. AES stands for Advanced Encryption Standard. AES is a symmetric key encryption technique which will replace the commonly used Data Encryption Standard (DES).

The AES algorithm uses one of three cipher key strengths: a 128-, 192-, or 256-bit encryption key (password). Each encryption key size causes the algorithm to behave slightly differently, so the increasing key sizes not only offer a larger number of bits with which you can scramble the data, but also increase the complexity of the cipher algorithm. For example, if I were to write a message and convert each letter to the number of its place in the alphabet, I am creating a code (The correct technical term is cipher or algorithm). The key would be the piece of paper or other medium stating 1=a, 2=b, 3=c, etc. Of course, with computer encryption, ciphers and keys are digital and far more complex. For example, even a supercomputer would take 149 trillion years to decipher an AES 128-bit encryption.
