Guilford, CT - June 22, 2010 - Two Connecticut shoreline technology companies joined forces to provide some “wow” in the effort to keep a local High School’s Graduation Night drug & alcohol free. The Project Graduation event is created by a group of parent volunteers annually. It’s purpose is to give high school seniors a fun, yet drug & alcohol free environment on their graduation night. Games, activities and “swag bags” are usually the norm. This year however, two local companies decided to inject some new technology into the festivities.

Image Ammo’s software, an interactive digital display engine designed to take a set of digital images and display them within an interactive 3D space was in use at the event - projecting pictures of the seniors in an extraordinary way. Pexagon Technology, manufacturer of personalized portable electronic storage, gifted each senior with a personalized flash drive full of pictures taken at Graduation and Project Graduation & pre-loaded with a home version of ImageAmmo software.

Tracy Merola, parent of a N.Branford Senior & Chair of the Project Graduation Gift Bag Committee said, “the generosity of local businesses and their donation of products and services has been a key factor in making this a successful event which in turn keeps our kids safe. We have had nearly 100% attendance for the past few years and we attribute that in part to everyone’s generosity.” Pexagon Technology is located in Guilford, CT and specializes in creating personalized products for individuals, businesses and the education sector: http://www.pexagontech.com/ImageAmmo is located in Madison, CT and provides their unique software in home & commercial versions: www.imageammo.com/

Store-It Lanyard Flash Drive and Swing Drive now available in 32GB capacities.

Guilford, CT June 28, 2009 – Pexagon Technology, a leading supplier of personalized flash drives in the US, announced that two of their product offerings will use COB technology and be available in a 32GB capacity.

Pexagon’s exciting new Store-It Lanyard Flash Drive, as well as their Swing Drive design, will use COB technology. (COB, or chip on board, refers to the semiconductor assembly technology wherein the microchip is directly mounted on the circuit board.) These drives are both available in a 32GB capacity making them a perfect solution for storing lots of data, photos, and music as well as for backup purposes.

The Lanyard Drive just recently begun shipping and has already become very popular with the education market. The innovative design combines a flash drive, a neck lanyard and a metal clip for attaching student IDs all in one exclusive model. Adding school spirit is accomplished by choosing one of 8 colors and screen printing the school name on the lanyard. Personalization of student names and/or two lines of text can also be done on the metal dog tag incorporated into the drive.

The Swing Drive design is small and compact; don’t let the size fool you. Capable of delivering 32GB of storage space, these anodized aluminum drives have a classy look when attached to the substantial silver key chain it ships with.

Both are available in assorted colors and with custom imprints. Pexagon also offers personalization in the way of individual names engraved on both of these drives.

Pexagon Technology helps school and associations save time, money and trees.

Guilford, CT June 28, 2009 – Pexagon Technology, a leading supplier of personalized flash drives in the US, will be showcasing the many ways they are delivering digital content on USB flash drives.

Coined Digital Content-2-GO, Pexagon offers a variety of products and services that enable content owners and communicators to share or distribute digital content instead of printed materials. Within the education market alone, Pexagon has recently delivered flash drives with pre-loaded digital content to the following organizations:

National Charter School Association, Washington DC – 3000 plus attendees received a custom USB flash drive pre-loaded with information about the conference and a “Best Practice Tool Kit” compiled from information received from other Charter Schools across the country.

Virginia PTA, Richmond VA – The Virginia PTA provided flash drives to all their conference attendees. While the drives weren’t preloaded by Pexagon, content is being offered at kiosks during the event where attendees can pick and choose what they want. Transferring the selected files onto the PTA sponsored drives, participants can load speaker presentations, conference information and PTA related materials.

AEP Summit, Washington DC – Over 400 attendees of the Association of Education Publishers Summit received an AEP branded USB flash drive. All of the speaker presentations were compiled prior to the event and converted into a BookOnFlash page-flipping eBook. As a show sponsor Pexagon also preloaded their marketing materials onto the drive.

David Starr Jordan High School, Long Beach CA – The principal from this high school purchased 200 USB flash drives to give as back-to-school teacher gifts. The drives were preloaded with essential teacher related materials (i.e. school schedule/calendar, meeting dates, staff directory, admin and management responsibilities, employee handbook, etc.) for the coming year. A logo was engraved on the front and each teacher’s name on the back.

In each of these cases, digital content was delivered in lieu of printed materials saving each organization time and money, while supporting ever important green initiatives.

Pexagon’s Digital Content-2-GO programs include an assortment of services including basic content load (simply putting folders and files onto a drive), BookOnFlash (a complete eBook solution), DMR (Digital Rights Management) tools, and auto loading splash pages. Products and services are fully customizable and offered in both short run/quick turn (“I only need a few tomorrow!”) and higher volume options.

“Every time we talk to someone about a custom or personalized flash drive we ask if they would like to pre- load data.” said Brian Campbell, president of Pexagon Technology. “While we’re not trying to displace DVD and internet based content, there are clearly some compelling applications for putting data on a flash drive. The application is a great solution for those trying to replace print for one reason or another, when the content owner wants to provide more information than is affordable in print media, or when a richer user experience (incorporating web links and interaction) is desired.”There are numerous benefits to putting your digital content in a format that can travel easily, be used virtually anywhere there’s a computer, and be assessable 24/7. Digital Content-2-Go is more environmentally friendly that traditional print, changes to content can easily be made when necessary, and a flash drive can hold more content than a CD/DVD. USB Flash drives are also less cumbersome than multiple CD sets, easier to share data, much lighter than printed text, and can be used in the many netbook computers (which do not have a CD/DVD player) in use.
